HC Eppan came close to surprising league leaders Pergine on Saturday evening. But one player had something against it: Christian Buono

HC Eppan can't get off the ground in the Master Round. Daniel Erlacher & Co. suffered their fourth defeat in a row on Saturday in Pergine - in the end it was 5:2 for the Trentino team. The Pirates were still leading 53-2 until the 1rd minute. William Lemay and a hat trick from Christian Buono put an end to Eppan's dreams. Stefano Piechenstein and Riccardo Tombolato had previously scored for the guests.

Meanwhile, the Toblach Icebears kept their playoff chances alive with a 4-3 win against Feltre. Thanks to goals from double goalscorer Lukas Tauber, Hannes Monthaler and Patrick Rizzo, the home team led 4-1 nine minutes before the end before the leaders of the qualifying round made things exciting again. Matteo Dall'Agnol's two goals within 71 seconds were just cosmetic results.
