Toblach has to bury its playoff dreams
There are still three games left in the qualification round for the Toblach Icebears, then the season in the Italian Hockey League will be over. This was due to an extremely bitter defeat against Valdifiemme on Wednesday.

Before the away game, the Eisbären still had a theoretical chance of getting a playoff spot. But a win at Valdifiemme would have been mandatory. That didn't work because Toblach lost 3:4 after a dramatic final phase. This means that the remaining three games against Como, Brixen and Valpellice are all about honor.
In the first section, the teams exchanged blows openly. Alex De Lorenzo Meo found the right answer after Loris Vanzetta's opening goal before Jaroslav Moucka put the home team in the lead again. After Enrico Chelodis 3-1, Fiemme was doomed to win, but Toblach showed his character through Bence Dezsi and actually came close again in the last ten minutes. When everything pointed to an extension, the Trentino team managed the lucky punch through Manuel Santer, which put an end to the Eisbären's playoff chances.
