The Eagles are Italian champions for the third time in a row

In the second final game on Saturday evening, the Eagles managed to pull their heads out of the noose they had put on themselves after losing the first game in Turin.

The decisive game on Saturday morning once again demonstrated the character of Max Fedrizzi's team. The Eagles' 10th championship title entitles them to wear the star.

The final result, again 4-0, does not by any means express the balance that prevailed on the pitch for long stretches, but it does underline that Gulia Mazzocchi has returned to her old strength, in contrast to the first game. The game itself wasn't necessarily a technical delight, but it was very emotionally charged. Just like finals are.

After just 14 seconds, the Eagles scored for the first time. Samantha Gius hangs up for Beatrix Larger, who refuses to be asked. Coach Max Fedrizzi's girls immediately try to double, but Turin's goalkeeper Marta Bonnal once again proves her good moment. 15 shots on goal from the Eagles against five from Turin underline their field superiority. But nothing countable comes of it. The second third is clearly dominated by Real Torino. The Eagles have to defend themselves tooth and nail until Federica Galtieri gets sent to the cooler with a 2+2 penalty after a rough check on Giorgia Battisti. First, Miriam Farinella makes it 2-0 with a shot from the blue line that finds its way past friend and foe into the net.

Shortly before the end of the second third - Turin is still outnumbered - Hanna Elliscasis puts the puck into the net to make it 3-0 after an assist from Wally Kaser. In the final third, Turin wants to know and pushes for the first goal. However, the attempts are repeatedly interrupted by penalties. So it is the Eagles who put the final point with a 4-0 win after preparatory work from Samantha Gius and Chelsea Furlani. There are still a few anxious moments due to penalties against Miriam Farinella and Nadine Zaccherini, but Giulia Mazzocchi successfully defends herself against the consolation goal for Turin.
