The Rittner Buam are in the final

The home team was missing the injured Ronny de Zanna and Edoardo Caletti as well as the suspended Francesco Adami, while Ritten coach Lehtonen could once again count on defender Fabian Ebner.

The game started very lively, Ritten had a slight advantage. Riley Brace had the first chance in the 16th minute, narrowly missing the opening goal. Two minutes later, Markus Spinell made his way down the right side, shot and Victor Ahlström used the rebound to make it 1-0.

At the beginning of the second third, the Rittners dominated the game. The guests' 2-0 was in the air and in the 29th minute Oscar Ahlström passed to his twin brother Victor, who put the puck in the net. It was the Swede's 22nd goal of the season. However, it didn't take long for the home team to react. After a mistake in substitution, Matthias Fauster had to go to the penalty box. Cortina took advantage of this numerical advantage and reduced the lead to 1:2 with a long-range shot from Riley Brace. Just 53 minutes later, Riccardo Lacedelli equalized to make it 2-2. Suddenly the game was open again.

Decision in the final section

In the final third, events came to a head and the tension in the Olympic Stadium increased. In the 43rd minute, Thomas Spinell gave the guests the lead again when he successfully completed a pass from Tudin. The “Buam” retreated into their own third and acted from a secure defensive position. Seven minutes before the end of the game, Alex Frei made the final score 4-2.

The “Buam” are in the final of their debut season in the Sky Alps Hockey League, where they are waiting for the second semi-final winner between Asiago and Jesenice. The first final game will take place on Saturday, April 1st in Klobenstein.

The winner of the regular season and the intermediate round was the first to get the final ticket: With a 4-2 win in the Olympic Stadium in Cortina, Ritten clearly won the semi-final series with the Ampezzan team.
