Harvey good, everything good: Bozen's fabulous reaction

What a reaction, what a victory: HC Bozen has struck back impressively after the embarrassment against Asiago.

In ice hockey, inexplicable things often happen. Like on Friday evening in the Sparkasse Arena, when the previously flawless HC Bozen lost to the blatant Underdog Asiago suffered a 2:8 defeat. Two days later, however, the Foxes showed their true face again: In the extremely difficult away match against Fehervar, captain Daniel Frank & Co. won 3-0.

The big match winner on Sunday was Bozen's goalie Sam Harvey. On Friday, the Canadian had to vacate his place between the goals early after a poor performance, but less than 48 hours later he delivered a performance that brought the ten or so Bozen fans who had travelled with him to their feet in the Alba Arena.

Harvey blocked all 32 shots from the Hungarians and celebrated his third shutout in his fifth game of the season. That is an incredible rate. Except for the slip-up against Asiago, Harvey was always the outstanding player on the ice. You can only wish for a goalie like that. On the other hand, Bozen's offensive artists were reliable again. They were extremely cool-headed and thus perfected the parade reaction to the Asiago defeat.
