Accident in Schnalstal: Ski ace shoots himself out of the line

The young German talent Nickco Palamaras fell during a training session in Schnalstal and tore his cruciate ligament. This means that his season has ended prematurely.

It was supposed to be the start of a promising season, but for skier Nickco Palamaras the adventure ended sooner than it had begun. During a training session in the Schnalstal valley, the athlete tore his anterior cruciate ligament - a small mistake that abruptly ended the season and thwarted his plans.

"It's hard to accept that a tiny moment of carelessness, something I've done so many times before, can end my entire season," Palamaras wrote on Instagram, sharing his disappointment with his fans. But instead of letting this setback throw him off course, the athlete is fighting. "I realize that there are far worse things that can happen and I'm grateful to have my life and the people around me," he added, showing an impressive perspective.

Palamaras, known for his determination and will, promises to work hard on his comeback. He wants to do everything he can to get back on the track soon. "I will keep fighting to get back to what I love," he writes. At the same time, he addresses warm words to his teammates and competitors and wishes them a successful season.

For his fans and supporters, the message remains clear: Nickco Palamaras' fighting spirit is unbroken and his comeback is only a matter of time. The 20-year-old's best European Cup result to date is 9th place in the slalom.
