Ski queen Lindsey Vonn is about to make her comeback.

"Does she want to kill herself?" Trouble surrounding Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn's comeback is causing quite a stir. Now an Austrian ex-skier has taken a sharp shot at the American.

Lindsey Vonn's comeback is taking on more and more concrete forms. The US lady wants to return to the ski stage this winter - at the age of 40 and with an artificial knee joint. As the Swiss View reported that the exceptional skier has already set a specific date in mind: she could celebrate her return in St. Moritz on December 21 and 22.

The US association has already submitted the application for the wildcard to the FIS. However, because Vonn competes in the speed disciplines, she must reduce her FIS points in the downhill and super-G to below 80 in order to be eligible to compete. To do this, the former overall World Cup winner wants to compete in some FIS races in North America.

“She should see a psychologist.” Michaela Dorfmeister

Vonn’s comeback is met with enthusiasm, but also a lot of criticism. After several ski greats had already expressed skepticism a few weeks ago, Austrian Michaela Dorfmeister has now made a stern statement. “Does she want to kill herself?” the 51-year-old said to the Lower Austrian News. The two-time Olympic champion cannot understand Vonn's comeback attempt. "I think it's extremely dangerous. This is top-level sport and not a fun event."

Is Vonn stealing the attention from the others?

And she continued: "Okay, she's skiing for herself. But now she's getting all the spotlight again and everyone else is taking a back seat. She should see a psychologist. Her need for recognition must be huge." These are harsh words from Michaela Dorfmeister. But Lindsey Vonn is unlikely to care. She's already training hard for her comeback, which the whole skiing world will be watching closely.
