Italian Championship: Insam flies to the title

The Italian Ski Jumping Championships took place in Villach on Sunday, with Alex Insam from Val Gardena taking the men's title. In the women's category, Annika Sieff from Val di Fiemme won ahead of Lara Malsiner.

Alex Insam secured the Italian title in men's ski jumping today on the ski jump in Villach. The jumper from Val Gardena was awarded 257 points, clearly ahead of Francesco Cecon, who took second place with 234 points. Andrea Campregher came in third with 215 points.

In the women's category, Annika Sieff, who took second place in the Summer Grand Prix behind Lara Malsiner from Val Gardena, won the Italian championship title. This time she left Malsiner behind with a lead of over 16 points. Martina Ambrosi took third place on the podium, followed by Jessica Malsiner and Martina Zanitzer.
