EBEL transfer market: Everything is still at a standstill in Bolzano

The transfer carousel continues to turn non-stop for the Foxes' rivals. In Bolzano, however, only the departures of Kim Strömberg (Klagenfurt), Sebastien Pichè (Linz), MacGregor Sharp (Schwenningen/GER), Trent Whitfield (end of career) and coach Tom Pokel (Vienna) have made headlines so far.

Klagenfurt, Vienna, Dornbirn and SAPA Fehervar have reported new additions in the past few days. The KAC caused a sensation with the signing of 29-year-old Canadian attacker Jean-Francois Jacques, who is moving from the AHL to Austria and has already played 166 NHL games in his career. But the Capitals reacted promptly and lured KAC defender Florian Iberer to the Austrian capital.

Dorbirn, meanwhile, has signed the American Adam Miller, while SAPA Fehervar has signed former Alleghe player Jeff Lo Vecchio (played for Norwegian first division club Lillehammer last season) and Swedish defender Johan Ejdepalm (from Hamburg Freezers ) has strengthened.

Two new trainers in South Tyrol

In the INL, or perhaps Elite.A (depending on what happens in Italian ice hockey between now and July 15th), Neumarkt and HC Gherdeina have a new coach. Former Valpellice coach Mike Flanagan is now in charge of the reigning INL champions, while Jarno Mensonen (who led Eppan to the Serie A2 championship title) will be behind the boards for the Val Gardena team.

There were also transfer reports from the top Italian league last week: Simon Kostner will play with Ritten Sport next season, while Vipiteno has increased their squad with Chris St. Jacques.
