Asiago will also be in the ICE Hockey League next season

At HC Asiago, doubts grew as to whether they should still play in the ICE Hockey League in the 2024/25 season. After a vote, a decision has now been made.

The field of participants for the coming ICE season is complete! After a crisis vote, HC Asiago announced on social media on Tuesday that the club would continue to participate in the transnational league next season.

In the last few days there was a vote by the league members as to whether the ICE adventure should continue. The past season didn't go according to plan for Asiago: they finished the regular season in twelfth place, and the Giallorossi were a whopping 22 points short of a pre-play-off place. Nevertheless, a larger proportion (7:5 votes) of members voted in favor of participating in the coming season. However, the condition for the team from Veneto is that they have to improve the outdated Odegar stadium, where Asiago plays their home games, by the start of the season.

The ICE Hockey League will start the 13/2024 season again with 25 teams. These are: HC Bozen, HC Pustertal, HC Asiago, EC KAC, Fehervar, Red Bull Salzburg, Black Wings Linz, EC VSV, HC Innsbruck, HK Olimpija, Pioneers Vorarlberg, Vienna Capitals, Graz 99ers.
