The top scorer leaves HC Bozen

The HCB Südtirol Alperia confirmed it early Tuesday evening: Christian Thomas will leave the Foxes.

The 32-year-old from Toronto played for the Foxes for two years. Last year, Thomas was his team's best sniper with 29 goals, and this year he is the HCB's top scorer with 44 points. His class is undisputed. His agility and drive to the goal are feared. Despite this, he fell short of high expectations in the playoffs this year (only 2 goals). Now Thomas has found a new challenge in the Czech Republic with Liberec.

The Canadian has traveled a lot since moving to Europe in 2018, playing in Sweden, Russia, Finland, Kazakhstan and Switzerland. His resume is impressive: 27 appearances in the NHL (New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Arizona Coyotes), 348 in the AHL, 68 in the KHL, 34 in the Finnish Liiga and 29 in the Swiss NLA, plus a bronze medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games with Team Canada.
