Victory & Top: Kaltern silences the whole of Feltre
SV Kaltern is the team of the hour in the Italian Hockey League! On the third matchday, the Hechte celebrated an away win in the top game in Feltre and are now the sole leaders of the table. While Eppan was also victorious away from home, Brixen and Toblach are still waiting for their first win.

810 loud ice hockey fans wanted to watch the top game between Feltre and Kaltern couldn't be missed and were treated to an entertaining game in which Kai Suikkanen's team showed with a 4-1 win that they can also play at the top in the new season. Over the entire game, the Überetscher were the more dangerous team and in the end had more than twice as many shots on goal as Feltre.
However, the start of the match was anything but desirable for the Hechte. The Bellunese scored the first goal of the evening through Lukas Blaha, but Giovanni Reffo and Alex Oberrauch converted the deficit into a lead in the second half of the game. Even before the second half-time break, Franz Erschbamer, who was outnumbered, extended Kaltern's lead to 3-1. Only 24 seconds had been played in the final third when the Hechte were able to celebrate for the fourth time that evening - thanks to Bastian Andergassen's goal. In the end, KSV celebrated a deserved 4-1 away win.
Eppan's overtime
The HC Eppan returns to South Tyrol from Torre Pellice with two points. The Pirates had to work overtime against the bottom team because after sixty minutes the score was 2-2. Since no goal was scored in extra time, the penalty shootout had to decide which team secured the extra point. The HCE was the happier team there and celebrated their second win in the second game. The Finnish William Mäkinen was celebrated as the match winner, leading Eppan to 2-2 in overtime and later converting two penalty attempts.Brixen and Toblach remain winless
The Brixen Falcons are still not getting going and are still waiting for their first win of the season. In the home game against defending champions Varese they suffered a 0-6 defeat and therefore remain in the bottom of the table. The Dobbiaco polar bears Although they have one point to their name, they are still without a win in the new season. In Cavalese they were clearly defeated by 400:2 against HC Fiemme in front of around 8 spectators. After six minutes the Icebears were already two goals behind. Alex De Lorenzo Meo was able to reduce the score to 13:1 in the 2th minute, but shortly before the first half-time tea, Fiemme restored the two-goal lead and extended the lead to 4:1 in the middle third. In the last part of the game, the home team increased the score further and celebrated a clear 8:2 victory.
Alleghe beat HC Como 5-0 at home. Among the goal scorers was former NHL crack Nikolai Zherdev, who hunted for goals for HC Meran in the Alps Hockey League in the 2020/2021 season.
