NHL: The Panarin Party

The Russian Artemi Panarin became the match winner for the New York Rangers with three goals in the 5-2 win in the NHL big game against the Boston Bruins. For Panarin it was already the seventh hat trick in the best league in the world.

Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick also had reason to be happy. The goaltender celebrated his 391st win in the NHL and caught up with Ryan Miller. Both now have the record for most NHL wins for a U.S. goalkeeper.


Super star Connor McDavid continues to churn out assists. The Oilers captain assisted on four goals in Edmonton's 8-3 win over Buffalo.

Russian Nikita Kucherov also achieved the same feat, having four assists for Tampa Bay's four goals in the 4-1 win against San Josè.

Nashville is the team of the hour

Kevin Lankinen made 33 saves for Nashville in a 3-0 win over Florida. The goalkeeper was able to celebrate his third NHL shut-out. Filip Forsberg scored two goals and provided an assist. The Predators have been scoring points for 3 straight games. Nico Hischier, Luke Hughes and Timo Meier each had three points in the New Jersey Devils' 16-4 win against the Winnipeg Jets.

Dostal celebrates first NHL shut-out

Lukas Dostal achieved the first shut-out of his NHL career. The Anaheim Ducks goalie defused all 4 of the opponent's shots in the 0-29 win against Chicago.

Other NHL results: Vancouver – Montreal 4:1, Vegas – Seattle 3:1, Carolina – Philadelphia 3:2 aet, Detroit – New York Islanders 6:3, Ottawa – St. Louis 2:5.
