Connor Bedard is considered one of the biggest hockey promises for the future. He proved this with an outstanding goal.

On the last game day before the Christmas break, Bedard was the center of attention despite a 5:7 defeat for his Chicago Blackhawks. The theme of the game was Bedard's “Michigan Trick”. The first pick in the 2023 NHL Draft started the season with high expectations after comparisons with Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid and has so far been able to meet and sometimes even exceed these expectations.

Like with this lacross goal: The Swiss Philipp Kurashev passed the rookie behind the Blues goal and Bedard surprised the defenders and goalkeeper by taking the puck on his stick blade behind the goal and lifting it around the post into the top corner. Here is the 18-year-old's goal in the video:
