Vinschger ice hockey highlight casts its shadow ahead

It has now become a tradition and is one of the most renowned preparatory tournaments in the Alpine region: the Vinschgau Cup knows how to inspire. From August 25th to 27th, top international ice hockey clubs will once again compete in the IceForum in Latsch.

In addition to the “host” of ERC Ingolstadt, which is completing its training camp in Latsch, its DEL league rivals Nürnberg Ice Tigers and the two ICE clubs HC Innsbruck and HC Pustertal are also at the start. The tournament is organized by the ERC in collaboration with the Latsch-Martell Tourism Association.

In the opening game on Friday evening, the ERC, which will again be supported by a large fan base from Germany at the training camp in Laces, will face HC Pustertal. The Bruneck team were already represented at the Vinschgau Cup last year and were able to bring favorite Ingolstadt to their knees 4-3. The game kicks off at 20 p.m.

Nuremberg and Innsbruck will take part in the tournament on Saturday, August 26th. The defending champion from Germany will meet the Champions Hockey League debutant from Tyrol at 20 p.m., who wants to test their form in Latsch a few days before their CHL opener against Geneva. It is the first time for the Innsbruck Haie to take part in this prestigious tournament.

The big final day of the Vinschgau Cup with two games is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th. The duel between Ingolstadt and Innsbruck begins at 14 p.m. Pustertal and Nuremberg will contest the final at 18 p.m.

Ingolstadt from August 21st in Latsch

On August 21st, the ERC Ingolstadt will travel to the Latsch-Martelltal holiday area. But relaxation is not the order of the day here. “The week in Laces is once again an important stage in our preparation for the season. Our coaching team will work hard together with the team and the Vinschgau Cup is a very good dress rehearsal so shortly before the start of the Champions League,” says ERC sports director Tim Regan . “With Nuremberg, Innsbruck and Pustertal, which have already strengthened themselves with four new additions from the DEL, there is once again a top-class field of participants at the start. We look forward to welcoming many fans of all teams to Laces.” Tickets for the tournament are already available.
