This is SSV Naturns 2011/12

With 13th place, last year's newcomer to the top league only narrowly escaped immediate relegation. Nevertheless, Naturns can be satisfied with what they have achieved, as staying in the league was the primary goal of the Vinschgers.

The fact that Naturns is hunting for points in the top league again in 2011/12 is thanks to the traditional club Engl Grünfelder. He took over command from Paul Pircher in February and ensured relegation until the last matchday.

The logical consequence would actually be an extension with Grünfelder, but he made it clear in February that he would only be available to the club until the end of the season. That's why former Lana coach Michele Bertoncini will be in charge on the sidelines in the future. Grünfelder, on the other hand, will again coach a youth team, as he did before his involvement in the first team, most likely the A youth team.

Armin Gasser, the sporting director of Naturns, has so far been able to guide three players to Naturns. Florian Pohl returns to South Tyrol after three years of experience in Austria. Last season he donned the Union Innsbruck jersey in 26 games in the Regionalliga West and scored two goals as a defender. Pohl is supposed to give the second-worst defense of last season, after all, Naturns conceded 58 goals, the necessary stability.

Furthermore could Christian Paulmichl , born in 1993, who is moving from the Berretti team of FC Südtirol to the Vinschgers, while Philipp Ausserer returns to his home club after a year in the regional league at Merano. Also Thomas Ortler and Timmy Tappeiner want to know again about Naturns. Ortler is returning from a year of study in England, Tappeiner was chasing the ball at Kastelbell/Tschars.

departures Striker is no longer there Peter Mair , who is moving to St. Georgen in Serie D. captain Peter Mazoll He is moving to Switzerland for work reasons, but there he will remain loyal to football. He is staying at FC Eschenbach in the fourth Swiss league. Michael Huber will strengthen Partschins in the 2nd amateur league next year. Daniel Pföstl, on the other hand, has to slow down for study reasons.

Because Naturns is losing a “bomber” in Peter Mair, Gasser wants to sign a powerful attacker, especially on the offensive. Training starts on July 25th.
