Juve with a horror idea in the Champions League

Juventus wanted to book their Champions League ticket on Sunday with a win against relegated Salernitana. But it was only a Roma defeat in the evening that promoted the Vecchia Signora to the premier class.

What a horror performance that was Juventus in the home game against Salernitana? After an indisputable performance in the first half, the Turin team were behind 1-0 for a long time against the bottom of the table. Only a clear increase in performance in the second half, several great chances and finally Adrien Rabiot's powerful goal in stoppage time saved Juve from total embarrassment. The game ended 1-1.

The fact that Juve was able to qualify for the Champions League early despite the loss of points was due to their direct pursuer: the Europa League finalist Atalanta has Roma Defeated 2-1 at home. The Bergamo team defended fifth place in the table, the last in the Champions League zone, and kept sixth place Rome at bay. With two laps to go, he no longer has a chance of catching up with Juventus. In addition to Juve, the third-placed sensation team from Bologna also qualified early for the premier class.

Bologna also in the Champions League

Lazio held on with a 2-0 win against the team, which was in serious danger of relegation Empoli on course for the Europa League, while newly promoted Genoa shot penultimate Sassuolo a little further towards league two with a 2-1 win. The Trentino striker Andrea Pinamonti had given Sassuolo a 1-0 lead in Genoa.

You have to keep shaking too Greece Verona, which ended with a home win against Torino could have pretty much secured relegation. Instead, on the day exactly 39 years after Verona's only Scudetto, it was a bitter 1:2 at home against Torino.
