Torino doesn't want to know anything about Red Bull

The owner of the Italian first division football club FC Torino, Urbano Cairo, has denied media reports that he is in talks with Red Bull about its entry into his club.

“I have no intention of selling my club,” Cairo said in a press release, denying reports in the Turin daily The print (Monday edition) that he had met with employees of Red Bull CEO Mark Mateschitz.

The mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo, also denied any contact with the Red Bull company, which, according to The print is interested in the possible privatization of the Stadio Olimpico. The concession for the use of the stadium expires at the end of 2025 and no decision has yet been made about the future of the arena, Lo Russo said on Tuesday.
