The Redemption of Manuel De Luca

Every Monday in our “Field Sales” section we take a closer look at those South Tyrolean football professionals who earn their money outside their home borders. This time in the spotlight: Manuel De Luca.

Had for around a year Manuel DeLuca struggling with knee problems after his Serie A debut. Pfattner has now fought his way back and has been in the Sampdoria storm for a few weeks. In the 2-1 win at Reggiana, De Luca scored his first ever competitive goal for the Serie B club. The relegated team is now in midfield in the table after Pirlo's team completely ruined the start of the season.


De Luca was appreciative of his relief after his goal. After an Esposito shot, the South Tyrolean was in the right place and was there with the dust. Afterwards the cheering knew no bounds.

Filehner keeps scoring

Manuel Fischnler is still in top form. In the absolute top game of Serie C (Group B) between Cesena and Sassari Torres, the striker from Signat saved the Sardinians from a draw. Fischler scored in front of 13.000 spectators in the 52nd minute to make the score 1-1. It was also his 8th goal of the season, which kept Torres close to Cesena in the table. The Black and Whites are currently in the lead with 2 points.

The table 3. The B group, Carrarese Calcio, won 1-0 at home against Lucchese.
