It's Casiraghi again: FCS gets a last-minute point

FC Südtirol delivered their weakest performance of the season so far in Terni. It was thanks to Daniele Casiraghi that it was still enough to win a point in the end. The 30-year-old is in the form of his life.

Casiraghi scored his 7th goal of the season against Ternana. He scored 4 of them from the penalty spot, including the late equalizer on Saturday in Umbria. In the 94th minute, the FCS professional - in his usual cool manner - sank a penalty into the hosts' goal and pushed Livorno icon Cristian Lucarelli's team into a vale of tears. Ternana is still waiting for a win after 6 games.

The FCS, on the other hand, remains undefeated. For a long time in Terni it looked as if Fabian Tait & Co. would suffer their first defeat of the season. The South Tyroleans had no clear chance to score until the 91st minute of the game. It was only in stoppage time that Bisoli's troops woke up and finally won a lucky point.

The highlights of the game

New FCS formationBisoli opts for a 4-1-4-1 at the start of the game instead of the usual 4-4-2. New signing Lonardi pulls the strings in midfield, with Tait and Broh in front of him in the half positions. Odogwu begins in the storm.
Ternana leadershipAfter a corner, the FCS defense was out of the picture and Casasola headed in to take the lead (23'). Until then, Ternana and the FCS will have a hard-fought, but not pleasant, Serie B game.
Bisoli changesAt the break, Bisoli brings in a second striker alongside Odogwu, Pecorino. Ternana leaves the ball to the white-reds, but they don't know what to do with it. The home team tries to counterattack.
Poluzzi keeps the FCS in the gameTernana comes very close to making it 2-2 twice. First, a shot from Corrado missed the goal by a millimeter (0'), then Poluzzi saved again from Corrado after a counterattack (66'). The FCS now operates from a 88-3-4-1 formation.
Lucky PunchThe stoppage time begins with the first FCS chance, but Lunetta fails because of Iannarilli. The Ternana goalkeeper also fends off the ensuing hustle and bustle (90.+1). Then Pyythia beat substitute Cisco and Casiraghi scored the penalty to make the final score 1-1.

There is no respite for the white and reds. The home game against Modena (20.30 p.m.) is scheduled for Tuesday in Bolzano.
