Tor festival in Brixen: Spezia defeats Bochum

Spezia Calcio and VfL Bochum played a spectacular test match in Brixen on Wednesday evening. After 120 minutes and seven goals, the Italian second division team finally celebrated.

Spezia is completing its training camp in St. Christina, VfL Bochum has set up camp in Gais. The two teams met in a friendly match on Wednesday evening in Brixen. This year's Serie A relegated team was able to trip up the Bundesliga club. Despite being 1:3 behind, the Italians won 4:3.

Instead of the usual two halves of 45 minutes, three thirds of 40 minutes each were played. In this way, the teams were able to give as many professionals as possible playing time. The game initially took the expected direction: Bochum led 67-25 after 59 minutes and goals from Lukas Daschner (67th), Erhan Masovic (3th) and Philipp Hofmann (1th). Leandro Sanca (48th) was successful for the FC-Südtirol opponent. At the start of the third period, the Italians turned the game on its head. Szymon Zurkowski (87th), an own goal from Moritz Römling (94th) and Niccolo Pietra (102nd) gave Spezia victory. The club had already surprisingly won against Sassuolo three days ago.

Spezia leaves

While Spezia ends the training camp in Val Gardena on Thursday, Bochum trains in Pustertal until Sunday. On Saturday, July 29th, the Bundesliga team will face Serie B league team Parma again in the Brixen stadium on Fischzuchtweg.
