Widmann remains constant

Veronika Widmann remains a model of consistency in the Downhill World Cup. On Saturday the South Tyrolean finished in the top 10 in Val di Sole.

The 30-year-old cannot currently play at the top, but she can almost always be found in the final: Veronika Widmann. After reaching 11th place in the qualification and coming tenth in the semi-finals, she moved up one place in the final and finally took 9th place. The Tramin native lost time in all sections and ultimately missed out on the outstanding winner Valentina Höll (Austria) 17 seconds.

The Swiss Camille Balanche came second (+2,913 seconds), Jess Blewitt from New Zealand completed the podium (+4,770). The men's race without South Tyrolean participation takes place in the afternoon.
