Sinners Munich premiere in 2025

Jannik Sinner has had the most successful year of his career - regardless of how the Davis Cup turns out this week. Next year, Sinner will take part in a tournament not far from South Tyrol for the first time.

Jannik Sinner and Olympic champion Zverev will play at the BMW Open in Munich in April. In addition to these two tennis stars, the organizer announced the participation of American world number four Taylor Fritz.

The start of the South Tyrolean Sinner at the traditional clay court tournament of the MTTC Iphitos is particularly spectacular: In the more than 100-year history of the tournament, this could be a first in the Bavarian capital. No number 1 has ever started at the traditional tournament. This year, Sinner's place is unrivalled.

In April for the first time in Munich

"I'm really looking forward to playing in Munich for the first time," said Sinner. The tournament will take place in Munich during Holy Week from April 12, 2025, and the final will be held on Easter Sunday. The 23-year-old Sinner, who is enjoying the most successful year of his young career, won the ATP Finals in Turin at the weekend - without losing a set over the entire week.
