When the starting signal for the 30/2024 Biathlon World Cup is given in Kontiolahti on November 25, the foundation for success will be laid here: in the Azzurri's ultra-modern service truck. This will be made available to the national biathlon team by sponsor Fercam and will be continuously updated.
The vehicle was in Bolzano over the summer to be further modernized and adapted. The wishes of servicemen, who primarily use it to work on cross-country skis, and of athletes were taken into account.
"Now we are ready to go" Biathlon boss Klaus Höllrigl
"With this truck, we can rely on excellent know-how. Now we are basically ready to go," said biathlon director Klaus Höllrigl during the handover at the Fercam headquarters in Bolzano. In addition to him, overall World Cup winner Lisa Vittozzi, Dorothea Wierer, Rebecca Passler, Hannah Auchentaller, Lukas Hofer, Tommaso Giacomel and Elia Zeni also came to the state capital for the sponsorship event.
Trip to Finland
The truck will leave for Scandinavia in a month, where the Azzurri are preparing for the start of the World Cup. In the last week of November it will then arrive in Kontiolahti, where the first World Cup points of the winter will be awarded.Edit Profile
