Natural track tobogganing: 2nd South Tyrol Cup race in Latzfons

The second South Triol Cup race for sport tobogganers took place on Saturday in mild temperatures. Despite all the adverse weather conditions of the last few days, the ASV Latzfons-Verdings track was in excellent condition and allowed for fair competitions.

In the women's race, a local hero was able to take advantage of her home advantage. Jasmin Lang from ASV Latzfons-Verdings was in a class of her own on Saturday. The junior relegated Theresa Hilpold from ASV Pfeffersberg and Hannah Tschurtschenthaler from ASC Olang to second and third place. For Lang it was the first win this winter and confirmation of her good performances so far.

In the men's race, Tobias Müller achieved his first win of the season. Always close to winning the day in previous races, he showed his class on Saturday. The young man from ASC Laugen-Tisens narrowly won ahead of his club colleague Sebastian Frei and local hero Martin Torggler. Müller and Frei are now the big favorites in the overall South Triol Cup standings.

Tobias Müller was once again at the forefront of the doubles. With his partner Tobias Mair from ASC Laugen-Tisens, they left nothing to chance and were the fastest ahead of Torggler/Torggler from ASV Latzfons-Verdings and Kirchler/Hofer from ASC Olang. The youth team ranking went to ASV Villanders, ahead of ASV Lüsen and AMA Wengen/LaVal. In the general class, the big dominators from ASC Laugen-Tesens were ranked ahead of ASC Latzfons-Verdings and ASC Olang.
