German youngster falls hard and breaks two fingers

A hard setback for the German alpine skier Linus Witte: The 23-year-old fell during slalom training and suffered several broken bones in one hand.

The ambitious young rider from Germany lost control during a training ride in the Pitztal and fell. He knocked over several gates and fell hard - so hard that he broke two fingers. Witte shared a photo of his injured hand on Instagram, including X-rays of the broken fingers and a video showing the accident.

"Unfortunately, I injured two fingers two weeks ago," Witte writes in his post, and despite the painful experience, he remains confident. "Rehab is going well and I'll be back on the skis soon." Words that let his fans and supporters breathe a sigh of relief. Because Witte is a fighter who doesn't let injuries slow him down.

The fall means an unwanted break for Witte, who has set himself high goals for the current season. Nevertheless, the young German is determined to return to the slopes as soon as possible. It is not yet clear when exactly he will return, but his determination shows his desire to start regaining his form and further developing his strengths as soon as possible.
