Slalom-Azzurre: After Schnals comes the debut in Gurgl

From Levi to Schnals and from there to North Tyrol. This is the route of the Italian slalom specialists. Seven Azzurre will be at the start in Gurgl.

The slalom start to the new World Cup season didn't go quite as smoothly. Martina Peterlini was the best Italian in Levi, coming 17th. The next chance will come on Saturday in Gurgl.

Head coach Gianluca Rulfi has nominated the same seven athletes who competed in Levi. In addition to Peterlini, these are Marta Rossetti, Beatrice Sola, Lara Della Mea, Lucrezia Lorenzi, Giorgia Collomb and Vera Tschurtschenthaler. The Sexten native will make her debut in Gurgl - like all slalom skiers. A women's ski race has never been held in the North Tyrolean ski resort before.

Two training days in Schnals

Before heading to Gurgl, Tschurtschenthaler & Co. will train in Schnals from Wednesday to Thursday. The focus will then be on North America, where two giant slaloms will be held on November 30 and December 1 in Killington (USA).
