The World Cup date at the Karerpass has been set

As part of the 55th FIS Congress in Reykjavik, not only were the various world championships awarded (including the World Ski Championships in Val Gardena) and the new FIS board was elected. The calendars for the next 2024/25 season have also been officially confirmed.

It is now clear that the Snowboard World Cup will be setting up camp on the Karerpass for the 14th time next winter. This means that the races at the foot of the Rosengarten and Latemar have long been among the classics in alpine snowboarding. On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the women's and men's parallel giant slaloms will take place on the tried-and-tested Pra Di Tori slope. Defending champions are Azzurro Maurizio Bormolini and Ramona Theresia Hofmeister from Germany.

Carezza Dolomites will be the third World Cup stop of the 2024/25 season. The highest competition series for alpine snowboarders opens with two stages in China, in Mylin (November 30th) and Yangqing (December 7th). After Carezza, the entourage traditionally moves on to Cortina (December 14th).

The preparations for our event are of course ongoing in the background, even though we would like to enjoy the summer a little now. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Val Gardena on the 2031 Alpine World Ski Championships. This World Cup is a huge opportunity for the entire winter sports movement in South Tyrol,” says Andreas Obkircher, OC President of the World Cup races in Carezza Dolomites.
