Omar Visintin solid at the start of the season

The starting signal for the new World Cup season for snowboard crossers was given on Sunday in Les Deux Alps in the French Alps. At the start, Algunder Omar Visintin showed a solid performance.

In the qualification in the morning, Visintin didn't quite get up to speed in 20th place, but he was wide awake in the final rounds: second place in the round of 2 and in the quarter-finals. In the semifinals against eventual winner Eliot Grondin (CAN) and Alessandro Hämmerle (AUT), who came second in the final, Visintin didn't get off to a good start and was eliminated in fourth place. In the small final, Visitin only had to admit defeat to Cameron Bolton; the Australian had already had Algunder under control in the round of XNUMX.

Moioli on the podium
In the women's race, the first win of the season went to Chloe Trespeuch; the Frenchwoman beat favorite Michela Moioli (ITA) in the grand final. The Bergamasque woman dominated the qualification as well as the quarter and semi-finals. Belle Brockhoff (AUS) took third place, ahead of Jana Fischer (GER).
