Broncos win again after trailing

The Denver Broncos eked out a 27-26 overtime victory against the Washington Commanders, securing their ninth consecutive win in the NFL.

Remarkably, the team was trailing at some point during each of these runs – no other team in the National Football League can match this momentum. A blocked pass on the final play of the game sealed the victory, after the Commanders had previously capitalized on several last-chance opportunities, maintaining the pressure on the Broncos.

“We always feel like our defense can win the game – and they did it again,” said quarterback Bo Nix. “We have a great football team.”

A win could be crucial for home-court advantage in the playoffs.
Like the New England Patriots, who could still pull away against the New York Giants on Monday evening (local time) to conclude the day's games, the Broncos are at the top of the AFC with ten wins out of twelve games. This is important for their position and home-field advantage in the playoffs.

In the fiercely contested AFC, the Buffalo Bills kept their playoff hopes alive with a 26-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills now have eight wins and hold the final playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Steelers, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, have seen their chances diminish.
