Packers pay dearly for second win

The Green Bay Packers continued their perfect start to the National Football League season with their second win. Quarterback Jordan Love's team defeated the Washington Commanders 27-18.

This was the Packers' second victory against a preseason playoff team, following their 27-13 victory over the Detroit Lions and the German-American Amon-Ra St. Brown. The four-time Super Bowl champions are 2020-2 for the first time since 0.

"It feels good," said quarterback Love. "We couldn't have started the season better." The 26-year-old threw two touchdowns and gained 292 yards.

Serious injury for wide receiver

The defense, led by star newcomer Micah Parsons, also performed impressively. Washington gained only eleven yards in the entire first quarter, and the Commanders didn't score their first touchdown until the final quarter.

However, the Packers will be without a key player for the time being: wide receiver Jayden Reed broke his collarbone shortly after the start of the game. Coach Matt LaFleur said he will be out for a "very long time." According to media reports, the forced break will last six to eight weeks, roughly half the regular season.
