Prison sentence looms: Former NFL star Brown extradited to the USA
Former NFL star Antonio Brown has been arrested in Dubai and extradited to the United States, Miami police confirmed.

The 37-year-old is scheduled to stand trial in Florida for firing shots during a celebrity boxing event on May 16. Brown faces charges including attempted murder.
According to police, Brown was detained in Dubai by US Marshals and later flown to Essex County, New Jersey. He is expected to be extradited to Miami soon. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.

Brown is accused of seizing a pistol from a security guard after the boxing match in May and firing two shots at a man with whom he had previously been involved in a fight. The man told investigators that one of the bullets grazed his neck.Brown spoke of attempted robbery.
Police took Brown into custody following the event but released him a few hours later. The former star receiver, who played for teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers, subsequently issued a statement on the social media platform X, claiming that several people had attempted to rob him. He also announced at the time that he would be filing charges against the alleged thieves.On June 11, an arrest warrant was issued for Brown on charges of attempted murder. He played a total of twelve years in the NFL and was at times among the league's best wide receivers. In the 2020 season, he won the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by quarterback Tom Brady.
