Serious injury overshadows Chiefs triumph

A serious injury has overshadowed the Kansas City Chiefs' triumph over the Houston Texans. The Baltimore Ravens, on the other hand, secured a place in the playoffs and can still hope to be number one.

The Kansas City Chiefs had been confirmed as the first playoff participant for weeks. The Super Bowl champions won their 15th victory in their 27th game of the season, beating the Houston Texans, who had also qualified, 19:14.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who had injured his ankle in the previous game, was unaffected. The 29-year-old threw for 260 yards and shone with a touchdown pass and a running touchdown at the start of the game.

The Chiefs' victory was overshadowed by a serious injury to Texans professional Tank Dell. After Dell had spectacularly caught the ball, Houston's Jared Wayne fell on the 25-year-old wide receiver's left leg. Dell was taken away on a golf cart amid tears from some of his teammates.

Ravens beat Steelers

Baltimore, led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, beat the already qualified Pittsburgh Steelers 34-17. With the home win, the Ravens prevented the Steelers from securing first place in the AFC North early. Both teams are now at the top of the division with a record of 10-5.

While Baltimore quarterback Jackson threw passes for a total of 207 yards and three touchdowns, running back Derrick Henry ran for 162 yards. For the Ravens, it was only the second win in the last ten games against the Steelers.
