A monster performance by Amon-Ra St. Brown could not prevent the Detroit Lions’ second loss of the season.

The 25-year-old caught 14 passes and gained 193 yards in total against the Buffalo Bills, and he also scored a touchdown. The Lions still lost the duel between two Super Bowl candidates 42:48. The result was closer than the game felt. By the time the score reached 35:14 in the third quarter, the Bills had everything under control against the Lions team, which was plagued by injuries.
The team has the most injuries in the league. On Sunday, three more were injured. "When I say that I don't have a good feeling about injuries, that doesn't mean that I have a good feeling about the rest of the season," said Lions coach Dan Campbell about further problems in defense. The hosts had no means of dealing with Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who has been outstanding this season.

Jared Goff delivered incredible numbers for the Lions, gaining 494 yards and five touchdowns in the passing game. But Allen controlled the game with the Bills, recording 362 yards and two touchdowns on passes and two more on his own runs.
Despite their second defeat, the Lions are still at the top of the NFC table, ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles. This would give them a bye in the first round of the playoffs and home advantage after that. In the AFC, the Bills increased their lead to third place because the Pittsburgh Steelers lost 13:27 to the Eagles. The Kansas City Chiefs are still in first place after their 21:7 win against the Cleveland Browns.
Steelers, Texans and Vikings secure playoff spots
As winners of the AFC North, the Steelers can also plan for the playoffs with certainty and benefited from the defeats of the Miami Dolphins (12:20 against the Houston Texans) and the Indianapolis Colts (13:31 against the Denver Broncos). The Texans are also guaranteed a place as the best team in the AFC South. The Minnesota Vikings have also already secured their playoff ticket before their game against the Chicago Bears on Monday thanks to the 13:30 defeat of the Seattle Seahawks against the Green Bay Packers.Edit Profile
