Kalterer See Triathlon: Zane and Murero win confidently

The 400th edition of the Kalterer See Triathlon took place this weekend in brilliant sunshine and with nearly 36 participants. In an atmospheric setting, Ilaria Zane and Federico Murero celebrated impressive solo victories.

The Italian Zane dominated the women's race from the start. After a strong swim and a determined attack on the bike, she pulled away from her pursuers by a wide margin. She also held her own on the run, winning with personal bests in all three disciplines. Claudia Carmela Paladini secured second place, and Alice Bagarello finished third.

In the men's race, young Federico Murero showed tactical acumen. After a brief setback during the cycling leg, he took the lead and confidently extended his advantage on the run. Leonardo Allegri finished second with the fastest time, and Thomas Francesco Previtali completed the podium.

Successful event

A special highlight was the charity event the day before, which raised 3.000 euros for the South Tyrolean children's cancer charity "Peter Pan." Prominent guests included biathlete Dorothea Wierer, luge athletes Andrea Vötter and Leon Felderer, and singer Barbara Zanetti.

Organized by KSV Kaltern Triathlon under the direction of President Daniel Brunato, numerous volunteers ensured that the event ran smoothly and was a thoroughly successful sports festival at Lake Kaltern.
