A special guest at the Kalterer See Triathlon

This weekend, the 36th edition of the Kalterer See Triathlon will take place. A well-known South Tyrolean athlete will also be taking part.

Dorothea Wierer is one of the best athletes South Tyrol has ever produced. The two-time overall World Cup winner and multiple biathlon world champion is now in the late autumn of her career. The 35-year-old will end her career after the 2026 Olympics in Antholz. Just a month ago, Wierer participated in the fifth edition of the Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun in Naturno.

This Saturday, according to the organizers, Wierer will be a spectator at the Lake Kaltern Triathlon. In the Olympic format, athletes must swim 1,5 km, cycle 40 km, and run 10 km. It starts at 14 p.m. on Saturday.

The evening before, there will be a charity event in which teams of four people will compete against each other on pedal boats. Luge athletes Andrea Vötter and Leon Felderer will be participating for the good cause, among others. Other prominent participants are expected.
