Extraordinary success for the national championships
Last weekend, Bruneck transformed into the beating heart of South Tyrolean beach volleyball, hosting the 2025 South Tyrolean Championships. Hundreds of fans from across the province filled the Pustertal town's courts, ensuring three unforgettable days of sport and fun.

The tournament saw record numbers of 226 registered teams, once again exceeding previous years. During the awards ceremony, various personalities greeted and supported the athletes: Klaus Reichegger, President of AVIS Pustertal, Andreas Grittner, Managing Director of FINSTRAL, Peter Paul Hofer, Regional President of AVIS, Tania Cappellari, President of SSV Bruneck, Doris Staffler, Vice President of VSS, and Bruno Wolf, Mayor of Bruneck. Giorgio De Grandi, FIPAV Beach Representative, was also present on Saturday and Sunday.
Particularly noteworthy is the high participation of young players: No fewer than 169 junior teams participated in the tournament, confirming the Raiffeisen Beach Cup's vision of inspiring young people to play beach volleyball and offering them opportunities for growth and exchange. National and international athletes also participated in the tournament, including Theo Hanni and Michael Burgmann, members of the Italian national beach volleyball team, and Berger Martin, a Serie A2 volleyball player.
Results of the finals
Men's categoryHanni Theo and Stolzlechner Michael became national champions after defeating Berger Martin and Gröber Markus in a spectacular final match with 2:1 (15:10/12:15/11:09).
Third place went to Zöschg Laurin and Berger Thomas, who won 2-1 against Blasbichler Simon and Burgmann Michael with 15:17/15:13/12:10.
Women's category
Seeber Eva and Burgmann Anja confirmed their national championship title and defeated Lüfter Ines and Weithaler Lea 2-0 (15:11, 20:18).
Obletter Lena and Riva Sarah climbed to third place on the podium, winning 2:1 against Pasquazzo Annalena and Jenegger Selina (15:08/08:15/11:09).
