Barbara Pozzobon, Ginevra Taddeucci, Marcello Guidi, and Gregorio Paltrinieri took second place in the freestyle relay. The Azzurri were only defeated by the German team, which secured the gold medal at Palwan Beach with Celine Rieder, Oliver Klemet, Florian Wellbrock, and Isabel Gose.
