A successful trip to Sicily

The Italian Masters Championships took place last weekend in Caltanisetta, Sicily. It was a successful trip for the South Tyrolean participants.

The Italian championship titles were contested in every category, from the Over 35s to the Over 70s (every five years). The southern delegation (from Brixen, Überetsch, Merano, Marling, and Mals) excelled, becoming the most successful region in Italy.

The most successful club was ASV Mals, ahead of CUS Bergamo and SC Meran. Particularly noteworthy are the triple winners (singles, doubles, and mixed doubles): Claudia Nista of ASV Mals and Raffeiner Klaus of SC Meran (they won all their matches without dropping a set).
