The Sarner bowlers start furiously

Sarnthein won the season with a convincing 6:2 against Ratschings. In the Sarnthein community center, the home team started like a fire brigade and Franz Obkircher immediately set the best score of the day. Against Christian Kasslatter he knocked down 606 pins, Kasslatter knocked down 542 pins and lost all 4 set points. The duel between Sarnthein's Manuel Geier and Ratschings' Thomas Haller was closer, ending 2:2 in set points. Here, too, Sarnthein took the match point because Geier knocked down more pins with 516 than Haller (501 pins).

Then the Ratschings selection also scored through Thomas Rainer, who put Christoph Thaler in his place with 562:513 (4:0 in set points). Sarnthein's Josef Obkircher immediately improved this and won against Johannes Oberhofer with 555:526 pins (3:1 in set points).

This meant that Sarnthein was only one match point away from securing a point win. Walter Innerebner won in a duel with Andreas Gschwenter. Innerebner won with 565:539 pins (3:1 in set points). Even though Sarnthein's Christian Plattner narrowly lost the last duel against Peter Volgger with 575:579 (1:3 in set points), Sarnthein was ahead in the overall result with 3330:3249 pins and took the win.

3 league leaders, draw in Pfalzen After the first match day, Neumarkt, Nals and Kurtatsch are at the top of the table. All three won their games against Naturns, Lana and Algund with 1:3. The Fugger Sterzing had a close duel against Burggräfler, but also took the first 7 points with a 1:5. One point each went to Pfalzen and Passeier, who ended up with a 3:2 draw.

Ratschings has the red lantern first The women's A class has also kicked off. Not quite, though, because the game between Passeier and Vöran Blecherne was postponed until October 1st. The other teams were already in action, however, and the first bottom team in the table is Ratschings. The Wipptal team lost to Plose with a clear 0:6.

However, Plose was only clearly superior in one duel in its sports zone. Otherwise, the players on both sides had exciting duels. Starting with Verena Fischer (Plose) and Edith Pfattner (Ratschings). Pfattner started strongly and took the first two set points, but suddenly Fischer had the momentum. In the last two sets, she not only won, but also built up a lead in the total number of pins, which ultimately earned her the match point. With the best score of the day of 565 pins, she trumped Pfattner's 551 pins.

In the second duel, it was Petra Stockner's turn for Plose and Gabriela Volgger's turn for Ratschings. Plose won again, again with 2:2 in set points, but this time Stockner was clearly ahead in the overall result (2:531). In the third duel, the score was also 480:3 after 4 sets, but Plose's Verena Gostner had knocked down 2 more pins than Ratschings' Andrea Mair (2:6 pins). Annemarie Prenn put the lid on it against Petra Haller and won with 501:495 (558:517 in set points), which secured the victory for Plose.

Otherwise, there were no surprises on the first match day. Fugger Sterzing, Sarnthein, Tirol Mutspitz and Villnöß all won their games 1:5. This means that Plose is also the first league leader this season.
