A record for the Kurtatsch bowling history books

On the last match day, the Unterland team exceeded the 3600 mark for the second time. They also improved their old record of 3617 pins and knocked down a total of 3624 pins. This is a new record for the team led by Andreas Dalvai, who is currently playing very well.

The Kurtatscher team got off to a strong start in the home game against Pfalzen. First Ivo Mayr clearly defeated Johann Hofer with 616:551 pins (4:0 in sets), then the aforementioned Andreas Dalvai was on the track. He hit the best of the day with 666 pins against Wilhelm Oberparleiter and clearly defeated the Pfalzner, who knocked down 533 pins, with 4:0 in set points.

In the next duel, Pfalzen also scored, Robert Larcher won against Alexander Schweiggl with 633:586 (3:1 in set points). Kurtatsch player Aaron Peer Pratzer made up for it against Oswald Weger, winning with 580:545 (3:1 in set points).

Kurtatsch captain Norbert Schgraffer then faced Hannes Kaiser and Pfalzen got his second match point. Kaiser won with 574:565 pins (3:1 in set points). Tobias Gruber then sealed the deal: The Kurtatsch player also played brilliantly, knocking down 611 pins and thus winning all 4 set points against Pfalzner Fabian Tschafeller, who knocked down 501 pins.

In the overall result, Kurtatsch was miles ahead and won 3624:3337 thanks to the 6:2.

Fugger can chill the champagne Thanks to the 4:2 victory in the top match against Villnöß, Fugger Sterzing is well on its way to successfully defending its title in the highest women's league. Villnöß held up well in the Fugger Bliegerstadion.

After the first duels, it looked like the Fuggers would win clearly. First, Sofia Saxl defeated Jasmin Prader. The Fugger knocked down 569 pins, while Prader "only" knocked down 533 pins. Both scored 2 set points, and the match point went to Sterzing.

Then it was Gabriele Bürger's turn for the Fugger Sterzing team, she faced Irene Oberhofer from Villnöß. Bürger gave her direct opponent no chance, even though she lost the third set. In total, she knocked down 70 more pins than Oberhofer (572:502), with which she won 3 set points and made it 2:0.

But then the top players from Villnöss struck back. First it was Selina Fischnaller's turn and she made short work of Sabrina Parigger. Thanks to the 576:528 pin victory, Fischnaller made it 1:2 from the Villnöss team's perspective.

The last duel was truly something special: Laura Runggatscher (Fugger Sterzing) and Nathalie Profanter (Villnöß), two of the best, if not the best, bowlers in South Tyrol, met. Profanter pulled off a huge surprise: she beat Runggatscher in a duel that was hard to beat in terms of tension, with 2:608 pins. Runggatscher won the first and third sets, Profanter the second and fourth, and in the end 605 pins decided the winner.

Even though Villnöß managed a remarkable comeback, it was not enough to win. In the overall result, Fugger Sterzing was ahead by 57 pins (2274:2217), which meant that the last 2 match points remained in the Bliegerstadion and the final score was 4:2.

The championship is as good as decided: The Fugger Sterzing would have to slip up several times in the remaining 6 games for Villnöß to get close again. And that is too far-fetched in the current state of the Fugger women.
