The bowlers start again

Lana is still stuck in the relegation battle. The Burggräfler team had to admit defeat to third-placed Kurtatsch with 2:6. Because Nals won 7:1 against Algund at the start of the second half of the season, the Lana team is now only one point away from the relegation zone.

The match started perfectly for Lana. Julian Piazzi showed a strong performance on the home track in the Lido Lana and set the best score of the day with 629 pins. Kurtatsch bowler Ivo Mayr held his own, scoring 622 pins. Both scored 2 set points each, but in the end Piazzi won the match point because of the 7 pins more. Kurtatsch hit back straight away, although the second duel was also very exciting: Andreas Dalvai had the better end with 2 pins against Hannes Pichler, who scored 597 pins (587:2 in set points).

Duels 3 and 4 both went to Kurtatsch. Aaron Peer Pratzer defeated Lana's Christian Gruber with 602:573 pins (3:1 in set points), Alexander Schweigl beat Georg Plaickner with 605:594 pins (2:2 in set points).

Kurtatsch has 15 more pins Lana then managed to reduce the score to 2:3 through Johann Rungaldier. He defeated Norbert Schgraffer and Arnold Peer (substitution on throw 86) with 575:532 (4:0 in the set points). Kurtatsch player Tobias Gruber, however, restored the lead in the last duel against Lana's Reinhard Obergasteiger. Gruber knocked down 612 pins, Obergasteiger 597, both of them achieved 2 set points.

In the overall result, Kurtatsch was just ahead. The Unterland team took the last two match points with a lead of 15 pins (3570:3555 pins).

Clear Psair defeat in Vöran At the start of the second half of the season, Passeier had to admit defeat to Vöran Blecherne. Doris Libardi & Co. lost 1:5. Vöran Blecherne has now closed in on the top 3 in the table, sharing 13th place with Sarnthein with 4 points. The home players got off to a dream start in the Veranum in Vöran. Birgit Unterholzner made short work of Ulrike Königsrainer. With her 517 pins, Unterholzner won all 4 set points against Königsrainer, who had 466 pins.

Christine Innerhofer from Vöran Blecherne also won her duel against Heidi Hofer from Passeier, although this duel was closer. Innerhofer knocked down 518 pins and only lost the first set against Hofer, who swept 506 pins off the lane. The second set ended in a draw, which meant that both received half a set point. In sets 2 and 3, Innerhofer again had the say, increasing the score to 4:2 for Vöran Blecherne.

In the third duel, Annemarie Innerhofer took to the track for Vöran Blecherne and Waltraud Hofer for Passeier. This time the match was clear again and Vöran won the set point again. Innerhofer knocked down 3 pins and won all 539 set points against Hofer, who swept 4 pins off the track. The match was thus as good as decided, even though Doris Libardi from Passeier finished with the best performance of the day. The Passeier player knocked down 461 pins and won all 547 set points against Vöran's Julia Mittelberger, she managed 4 pins.

Laura Runggatscher shines at the start Table leader Fugger Sterzing remained flawless in the top match against Burggräfler. One player in particular was once again outstanding. Laura Runggatscher, who holds the Italian record with 661 pins, swept an incredible 618 pins off the track away from home. In the end, Fugger Sterzing won with a clear 5:1 and now leads the table with a 6-point lead over Villnöß, which still has one game left. Their first second half match against Kiens was cancelled.
