This Neumarkt is a size too big for Maribor
In the first leg, KK Neumarkt was still struggling with itself when it lost 2:3,5 to KK Konstruktor Maribor in Leifers two weeks ago and offered a weak performance. After the return leg, however, Neumarkt can be satisfied: On Saturday, they showed their true colors in Slovenia and won comfortably with 4,5:7.

The start of the first round match was extremely bitter, however, as Armin Egger had to be substituted after just 14 shots due to a back injury. Daniel Prinoth took his place on the track, and it was anything but easy for him against Nik Predovnik, but he fought bravely and lost 563:575 pins. From then on, however, only Neumarkt won.
First it was Tamás Kiss's turn against Timi Jurancic and the Italian-Hungarian, who has been playing for Neumarkt for several years, showed his best side. 690 pins is an outstanding number, which Jurancic had no chance of countering with 602 pins and therefore lost. And Alex Posch also made up for his losses against Jani Sterzaj and won with 587:566 pins.
Captain Wolfgang Blaas and Georg Righi did just as well. They both cracked the magic mark with 630 pins and 624 pins and took match points number 3 and 4 against Damir Vindis and Miko Sterzaj. Erik Kuna then sealed the deal, defeating Anej Krajnc with 615:553 pins. The overall result was also clear and thanks to the 3709:3452, the final score was 7:1.
