The mountain bike World Cup race with South Tyrolean participation took place in Leogang on Sunday.

Puck Pieterse won the women's cross-country World Cup race in Leogang on Sunday. The Dutchwoman had already won the short track race two days earlier, thus celebrating her first double. The 23-year-old world champion won in difficult, muddy conditions ahead of World Cup leader Samara Maxwell (NZL/+50 sec.) and Ramona Forchini (SUI/+1:26 min.).

Greta Seiwald from Pustertal finished 26th, placing her in the middle of the field with a time gap of 7:50 minutes. This also made her the best Italian athlete.

Elian Paccagnella, 19, from Bolzano, finished 23rd in the U43 category in Salzburger Land (+7:19 minutes). The Swiss Finn Treudler won this competition, ahead of Paul Schel (+47 seconds) from Germany and Nicolas Halter (+52 seconds), also from Switzerland.
