Maria Cristina Nisi (ITA/Boscaro Racing Team ASD): I'm so happy to be here, having fun. I've decided to compete again. I'm on a path that will hopefully lead me to even better results over the years. Of course, age is on the rise, but the determination is always there, and as long as I can, I'll give it my best. I thank the entire organization of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike and wish everyone good luck and lots of fun, because it's a beautiful race in a special place.
Chiara Burato (ITA/Stones Bike): This is a season with ups and downs, and right now it's just so-so. This will be my last race in the first half of the season. I'm very happy to be here, as my last race in this region was in 2022. The Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike is a great event because the scenery is beautiful. Let's see how it goes tomorrow (Saturday, editor's note).
Ignacio Gallo Florido (CHI/DMT Racing Team By Marconi): We've competed in many races before, including cyclo-cross races in the World Cup, but also smaller races near home. We've trained a lot; this is our last race of the season here in Europe. We'll see how it goes tomorrow, but I'm very happy to be here for the first time; it's wonderful.
Agustin Duran (ARG/DMT Racing Team By Marconi): Ignacio explained the course to me, and it's pretty fast. This type of race is new to me, as I usually compete in cross-country. Now I'm excited about this marathon.
Diego Rosa (ITA/FOL MTB Racing Team): Third place in the Italian championship was a joy. What does that tell me about tomorrow (Saturday, editor's note)? My fitness is good, and I have to keep believing. The race will be long, beautiful, tough, a bit fast, and tactical. The Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike was the first race I rode as a professional, so I always enjoy coming back here.
Juri Ragnoli (ITA/El Camos Racing Team): My physical condition is very good. That's also a necessary prerequisite for doing well in the race. Sometimes, however, even top condition isn't enough. Tomorrow (Saturday, editor's note) I'll attack again. The Dolomiti Superbike is open to many scenarios, including tactical maneuvers, so you have to observe your opponents a bit.
Nicola Taffarel (ITA/Metallurgica Veneta MTB Pro Team): The conditions are good. I hope I can have a good race. As my competitors have already said, it's all open and very tactical. I like races like this, not overly tough at altitude and with flat sections. It'll be fun.
Diego Alfonso Arias Cuervo (COL/Metallurgica Veneta MTB Pro Team): I had a pretty difficult start to the season, but my legs are gradually getting better; after all, we're not machines. Tomorrow (Saturday, editor's note) we'll hopefully have good legs. Where will the Dolomiti Superbike be decided? At Prato alla Prato.
Andrea Siffredi (ITA/Scott Racing Team): I'm excited to wear the tricolor jersey and represent my country. I hope I can do it in the best way possible. For me, winning the Italian title is a dream come true; it almost feels strange. I can't wait to set new goals. One goal could be tomorrow's race. I like it; I did it last year, and I hope I can challenge for the win.
Kurt Ploner (President of the Organising Committee): Welcome to Villabassa in the Three Peaks Dolomites region for the 3th edition of the South Tyrol Dolomiti Superbike. Tomorrow, Saturday, over 30 enthusiastic participants will be at the starting line. I would like to thank everyone who came out in such large numbers to this mountain bike festival. I wish everyone a great race, enjoy the scenery, and reach the finish line safely!
