Veronika Widmann impresses at the European Championships

Veronika Widmann delivered a convincing performance at the Downhill European Championships in La Molina, Spain. She was close to winning a medal.

Gold again went to Swiss Lisa Baumann, who defended her European Championship title with a time of 3.26,31:XNUMX minutes. Italian Gloria Scarsi took silver, ahead of Frenchwoman Vicky Clavel.

Veronika Widmann from South Tyrol (3.32,05:2,3 minutes) finished sixth on Sunday afternoon. The Tramin native was a good four seconds short of a European Championship medal. The technical course in La Molina – just under 411 km long and with a drop of about XNUMX meters – presented challenging terrain. Conditions were perfect.
