Pogacar loses yellow jersey

Road cycling world champion Tadej Pogacar lost the yellow jersey to breakaway rider Ben Healy at the Tour de France on French national holiday.

The defending champion crossed the finish line on the Puy de Sancy in the group of favorites on the tenth stage, covering 165,3 kilometers, 4:51 minutes behind the British stage winner, Simon Yates. Healy, who finished third, became the first Irishman to wear the yellow jersey in 38 years.

The 112th Tour de France continues on Wednesday with the eleventh stage, covering 156,8 kilometers around Toulouse. A third-category mountain classification may prove too difficult for the sprinters. Starting Thursday, the Pyrenees await.
