With a home win against Atalanta, Juventus could have returned to the Serie A title race. But Thiago Motta's team lost 0-4 to Gasperini's eleven and are now nine points behind league leaders Inter. Atalanta, in third place, are only three points behind the defending champions from Milan.
One point behind Inter is Napoli, who beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the afternoon. The title race in Serie A remains a three-way battle. For Juventus, on the other hand, it is now just a matter of qualifying directly for the Champions League. After this defeat, things could get tight for Motta for the first time, after all, the glorious Juventus embarrassed themselves on Sunday. The Turin team have already been eliminated from the Champions League and the Coppa Italia. There was a chorus of whistles after the final whistle.

In this form, Atalanta is in contention for the Scudetto. The reigning Europa League winners, like Napoli, can concentrate fully on the league. With his 22nd goal of the season, Matteo Retegui put "La Dea" in front with a penalty on Sunday. Captain Marten De Roon and veteran Davide Zappacosta increased the lead to 3-0 after the break, before offensive artist Ademola Lookman scored the final goal after a Vlahovic error.
