In Serie A, Napoli and Inter are currently battling for the title. Initially, it seemed as if Milan would easily win the championship. However, head coach Simone Inzaghi's team has recently seemed to have run out of steam. The Lombardy side gave up a comfortable lead, and Napoli coolly overtook them.
On Saturday, the Campania side took another step toward the title. Antonio Conte's team celebrated a narrow 1-0 victory against relegation-threatened Lecce. This was Napoli's fourth consecutive win. The only goal of the afternoon came from Giacomo Raspadori, who celebrated his fifth of the season.
Inter can also do it with B-team
In the evening match, Inter finally faced Hellas Verona. The suspended Inzaghi had decided to rotate several positions to rest some of his regulars for the Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday. Nevertheless, Inter secured a commanding 1-0 home victory – an early penalty from Kristjan Asllani was enough for the Lombard club.In this scene, Kristjan Asllani scores Inter's early 1-0 lead – and that's how it would stay. © APA/afp / PIERO CRUCIATTI
This leaves Inter three points behind Napoli in the table with three games remaining. There will be no more direct clashes between the two clubs this season, meaning Napoli has victory in their own hands.
Victories for Udinese and Como
Earlier that afternoon, Udinese celebrated a 2-1 victory at Cagliari in Sardinia. Both teams are in the middle of the table and should no longer be in danger of relegation. In the clash between the promoted teams, Como beat Parma 1-0.Serie A, 35th matchday
