Napoli advances to the Super Cup final

The first finalist in the Italian Super Cup has been decided. Napoli defeated Milan on Thursday evening in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

The match in the Saudi Arabian capital promised plenty of excitement, as Milan and Napoli, the second and third-placed teams in Serie A, faced off. Ultimately, Antonio Conte's team prevailed 2-0.

David Neres opened the scoring in the 39th minute, before Rasmus Højlund made it 2-0 after the break. The Dane capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Massimiliano Allegri's team were unable to find a way back into the game. Thus, the reigning champions from southern Italy advanced to the final, where they will face either Inter Milan or Bologna. The second semi-final will take place on Friday at 20 pm.
